Joe Eugene Brown
Born April 29th, 1954
in Ashland, Kentucky.
Joe was born in Ashland, KY, in the spring of 1954. He lived most of
his young life on his parents 52 acre farm in Argillite, KY. There, he
helped his father with the polled Hereford cows, horses, and general
farm chores. He is the oldest of three children; he has a sister,
Kathy, and a brother, John.
Joe attended school in the Russell District, completing elementary at
Advance Elementary in Flatwoods, KY, and going on to Russell Middle and
High Schools in Russell, KY. He was part of the family
plumbing/electrical business for many years with his brother and
father, Eugene. Joe is also a distinguished vocalist and bass guitar
player, and has been in many bands and played alongside big name rock
'n roll and country artists.
Joe has been married twice - no children came of the first one, but he
had a daughter (Joey Carol Brown) with his second wife, Janet
Spradling. Joe and Janet divorced in 2005.
